  32. I'd like to thank all those who replied to my query regarding the 
  33. ethernet protocol identification.  I certainly received plenty of good
  34. information from many people.
  35.  
  36. Mike Bilow mentioned of a rather neat MSDOS program that analyzed the
  37. ethernet packets with various options/protocols.  I grabbed them and they
  38. have quite a bit of info on them as well.  For those interested, the site is:
  39. ub4b.buug.be in /pub/ub4b/network/msdos/eth??104.* (as the latest version).
  40. I have yet to run this program on a machine with ethernet to test it out, but
  41. it does look promising.

  43. Also, there are specific RFC's out there for the various protocols as
  44. defined by IEEE/Xerox (whomever is the authorizing body).  I haven't checked, 
  45. but rfc894/rfc895 were mentioned for ip over ethernet and experimental
  46. ethernet protocols.
